Why DAM WORD Webinar
A significant number of papers have been submitted and accepted for the Fourth International DAM WORLD Conference. However, due to the Pandemic Crisis, the Conference has been suspended, and new dates will be announced. DW2020 Organisers have decided to set up an Online Event - DAM WORLD Webinar, to be held in the Conference original dates, so Authors will not miss the opportunity to share their recent work and thoughts with the dam engineering community.
Requirements to attend the DAM WORLD Webinar
To participate in the DWWebinar you need to register.
You need a computer, a smartphone or a tablet PC with an internet connection of at least 10 Mbit/s. To reduce the possibility of issues that may interrupt the webinar, we recommend that you suspend or pause any internet downloads and close any open browser tabs. Additionally, we recommend that you temporarily disable any applications that might impact the Internet connection speed, e.g., Skype, etc.
You need to have ZOOM installed in your computer/mobile, you can use the free Zoom Basic licence.
Before Sessions, please, double check your microphone and camera, you will need them for the Q&A during the debate period.
First of all, please, register to the DWWebinar here.
A link will be sent to your email address prior to the event to grant your access to the webinar sessions. A preregistration in the event will be required using this link. We strongly recommend doing the preregistration first to make sure your name is on the list.
Approximately 15 minutes before the webinar starts, click on the link that you will receive from us.
Note: while the webinar is in progress, you will need to respect the presenter and other attendees or else the webinar organiser may remove you from the webinar room.
How to Speak in the DAM WORLD Webinar
If you would like to speak during the discussion period, use the zoom option to "raise your hand" . You will have your sound disabled. The Chair will give you permission to enable your sound when comes your turn to speak/intervene. The Chair will also give permission to initiate the Chat during the debate period.
